A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life. -- Isadora James

I have been waiting to post this - I sent this apron to my sister in Cali for her birthday! Which is not till February 2 but I was early - which never happens! She said she loved the colors - the fabric is just grand! I hope to finish more soon! :)

This is the lovely birthday girl showing off her apron! When you get a moment check out her blog @ www.sarahlicious.com/

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try.

Here is a recap of last years crafting projects! I made most of these while I was prego... trying to keep my mind busy!

Above is our Thankful Tree at Thanksgiving - We made this tree so Sierra would think more about what she was really thankful for. She is blessed with so much love - i just want her to really embrace it. I went out to our Eucalyptus tree and snagged a few branches and we went around the yard and collected some dry twigs. I arranged them in my pretty vase! For the leaves we traced a template I found and then Sierra used a gold paint pen to write who and what she was thankful for! It was soo fun - we will do again next year! Oh yeah for my pumpkin...... I made it out of a dryer vent! We painted it a mixture of oranges, yellows, and reds w/ some shine of gold. Then I sent Papa Bear and Sierra out to find us a stem! It was perfect!!

Above is Brother Bears awesome tie onsie - It sure didn't last long!

My Christmas window...... the wreaths were really easy and Very cute!

Above is a little Christmas Party gift :O)    A coffee (or hot cocoa!) cozy and some Snowman Soup!

The pictures above show one my marker rollups. We keep a set in the car for a easy grab when we go out to eat or those long car rides.

Above are photos of my felt flowers.... I just think they are so cute and so easy to make! I hope that I can master more styles of flowers very soon.

Get inspired like I did from these awesome sites!

Night Owl - Sunday night sewing!

After the kids went to bed I started thinking of something I can make out of the materials I have on hand. With all leftover materials and even some old crib shirts inside - I made a sweet owl pillow to go with Sierra's room.  I think my next owl will turn out better w/some matching material. But it was fun - and turned out very cute!

Here is where I got my owl tutorial - you should check her out too!

"Laughter is like changing a baby's diaper. It doesn't permanently solve any problems, but it makes things more acceptable for a while."

When I was pregnant with Sierra, my Aunt Wendy made me a awesome diaper cake and a blanket cake. I fell inlove with them! So fun!! I have made a couple these past couple years....some are better then others. Its fun to personalize them - and they can be as small/big as you want. Heres some photos I dug up.....

i LOVE my new curtins!

We live in warm North Carolina but its been pretty cold this month.... being from Pennsylvania this ain't nothing! Since we moved into our new house we haven't put anything up in the windows yet. I love the openness and also watching the birds in the morning. Although I decided the cold draft needed to stop - in other words we got our electric bill! I am now creating window treatments for all the windows. These are my first set of curtins. I love the fabric .... they aren't perfect but I think it brought the room together and does its purpose.

It takes a lot of courage to show your dreams to someone else.

So here I am - I finally created my own blog. Enjoy what you read and enjoy what you see - you will soon realize that life in my eyes has no rules..... I have just learned to follow my heart - and soon someday every thing will come together when the time is right.

My world consists of a Papa, Sister, and a sweet baby brother bear. We live in a small town in North Carolina - which we all enjoy very much. The weather has grown on us - its January and we can still where our sweaters outside and not be freezing. I am blessed to have found such a great person to spend my days with - he has given me the blessing of being able to stay home with my kiddos. We all have those days that we think the grass is greener on the other side but I am truly enjoying being a mom. With my daughter I love to do crafts with her... its so much fun - she has an eye to make things pretty. I love to think of myself as an artist and I hope to spread that to children... I want them to look for the beauty in life and to reuse anything we can. Its fun to be creative. Art is my stress release..... lately my sewing machine has been my best friend.

This is kind of fun - I will share more love later.

In my world Imagination is more important than knowledge.
